133 S. Ct. 2586 (2013)

On the second to last day of the October 2012 term, the United States Supreme Court issued its opinion in this important property rights case. Attorney Chris Carlyle, along with trial counsel Michael D. Jones and the Pacific Legal Foundation, successfully persuaded the Court that the Nollan and Dolan standards should apply when a governmental entity conditions issuance of a permit on matters other than a dedication of property. The 5-4 decision will have wide-ranging implications for property owners across the United States.

The Firm has been working on the case since 2004, and the case at the United States Supreme Court was the fourth appellate matter in which the Firm was involved.
