The Carlyle Appellate Law Firm’s more than decade long odyssey in St. Johns River Water Management District v. Koontz appears to be nearing the end.  After having an appeal brought by the Water Management District dismissed by the Fifth District Court of Appeal for lack of Jurisdiction (2005), prevailing on an appeal at that court (2009), losing at the Florida Supreme Court (2011), prevailing at the United States Supreme Court (2013), having the case remanded and prevailing yet again at the Fifth District (2014), the Florida Supreme Court today declined to accept jurisdiction to review the 5th District’s latest opinion.
