Adam Pate
Adam is a sophomore at Lake Sumter Community College where he plans to earn his
Associate of Arts degree and transfer to a university where he will major in Forensic
Medicine and Criminology. He was nominated for the American Legion's Boys' State,
the National Young Leaders Conference, the National Youth Leadership Forum of Defense,
Intelligence and Diplomacy, the Congressional Student Leadership Conference, and the
National Youth Leadership Conference on Law.
Adam's community involvement includes work with Caring Canines, which enables Adam to
take his dog "Lady Gabrielle" into nursing homes and children's hospitals.
He has also mentored teenagers through "Teen Advise" a nonprofit organization designed
to assist teens better deal with peer pressure. Adam has also been involved in community
theater and is currently performing with the Melon Patch Players as "Sir Studley" in
Once upon a Mattress.
